Please tell us about the equipment you use, including discussing the types of component and a short statement on why you use them.

Team Dignitas

I use a A4 Tech Mini Keyboard for the fact I don’t use the numberpad on a normal size keyboard at all and think the numberpad a waste of space anyway, a QPAD XT-R Mousepad because it provides a balance of speed and friction that I need, a Creative Fatality Headset because it’s the latest headset around with the best sound and microphone, a Logitech Rumblepad 2 Controlpad for precision and easy control and an Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 because of the fact I have used this mouse ever since it was released in the first place.

How do you think the equipment you use helps you play better?

I would never really good at games if I didn’t have the proper equipment, and this for me is the proper equipment.

How long had you been playing before you thought about becoming a pro?

I’ve been playing computer games all my life, but when Quake 3 Arena was released around Christmas of 1999, that opened the door to me to a brand new lot of possibilities. I was playing this game nearly every night, trying to get better. It was very addictive at the time. Then domestic and European leagues/cups started to open up. This was getting bigger every day, every week, month and year from there on. Then I saw events with people that played this game, which really was good to see, and I hoped one day I could be at this same stage. Eventually this did happen and I’m happy it did.

How did you get into professional gaming?

Professionally I started around 2003, basically when I was able to travel around and compete in event and I got into my first professional sponsored team around February 2006 with Reason Gaming, then moved into Team Dignitas around April of that same year.

How'd you join Team Dignitas?

I was asked to join the Quake 4 section of Team Dignitas because at the time they needed a player who was dedicated, skilful, experienced, friendly and trustworthy and I happened to be that player.

What are your favourite games?

There are too many games to even say that I like. They practically range from Action to Stratagy to Racing to Adventure. You name the games, I will probably like them already.

What's your biggest success in pro gaming?

Signing with Team Dignitas of course and becoming the UK National Champion at Trackmania Nations, I wouldn’t have had this chance without Team Dignitas.

Who's your toughest opponent?

I’ve had many tough opponents during my years of gaming, but my toughest I guess would have to be the team of Four Kings, as in May 2006 we had one of the best ever Quake 4 Team Deathmatches in history.

Tell us three things about your team mates…

Raz is an evil, loud & crazy person, needs to be locked up. Dogbert is a nice guy, not an active person but is the best person to challenge to drinking games and Spades is a Lord of the Rings Online, Second Life and WC3: DOTA Addict.

What's your favourite gadget?

My Nintendo DS Lite, best handheld console ever for its ingenuity, using a touch screen to interact with.

What do you think you'd be doing if you weren't in Team Dignitas?

If I wasn’t in Team Dignitas then I would still be playing in another team, just waiting to be noticed.
