Exclusive to Intel Game On – two new missions for Far Cry® 2

Already blasting your way through Far Cry® 2? Unlock even more destruction with two bonus missions, exclusive to Intel. These explosive missions add more twists to Far Cry® 2’s enthralling plot to bring you mayhem you won’t find anywhere else.

3 hours of new game play brought to you by Intel

These bonus missions extend Far Cry® 2’s game play by a whole 3 gripping hours. They bristle with extraordinarily coolness, and make the most of Far Cry® 2’s signature graphical excellence and real-world physics modelling. Intel collaborated with developers Ubisoft Montreal, to ensure that both missions bring out the best in Far Cry® 2’s unique hyper-real depiction of war-ravaged Africa. Make no mistake: this is the stuff your Intel® Core™2 Extreme was made for.

Mission 1: the Morrocan

This mission sends you into the most heavily guarded region of the Leboa-Sako (Northern District) territory. Hiding out at the old Legion fort is a Moroccan who might be able to help you locate the Jackal. Your objective is to locate him and find out what he knows.

Mission 2: the American

Your predecessor has tracked down the American informant to the Dogon village in the rocky northern ranges. Your objective: follow his trail and find out what the informant told him.

How to get these missions

Simply download the .exe file and launch it. The first mission will be added to Far Cry® 2 in-game mission database. Then launch the game and seek out the new mission envelope. Complete the first mission to unlock the second. It’s time to rise to the new challenge...

Walkthrough

Be warned: reading beyond this point could spoil your game. Do not read on unless you’re really stuck. Or just curious.

Walkthrough: The Moroccan

Locations: Southernmost Bus spot in W1D4, Legion Fort in W1B4

Interact with the mission envelope on the table near the bus wreck to update, your objectives. A white objective target mark appears on your (world scale) map.

Your objective is to locate a Moroccan who has information about the Jackal’s whereabouts. You are to meet at the old Legion fort in APR territory on the far side of the great northern mountain.

Be prepared for a trek across country. Towards the end of your journey, you may come across a number of interesting weapons, such as a flare gun and a sniper rifle.

Keep your eyes peeled as you approach the old Legion fort, because you are not alone.

When the dust settles you discover that the Moroccan is dead. You find a tape recording of a voice warning the Jackal to beware of his own associates. Playing the recording completes the mission. The tape recording is added to your inventory and starts to play immediately.

A voice says, "Dear Jackal, our little Moroccan friend had some interesting things to tell me. I was starting to wonder how a bunch of goons living in a two hundred year-old Legion fort would get their hands on a shipment of brand new combat shotguns. Now I know. I would suggest you be more careful about who you trust in the future."

Walkthrough: The American

Locations: Post Office in W2C2, Dogon Village in W2B3

Upon interacting with the mission envelope on the table in the Post Office, your objectives are updated. You must travel to the Dogon Village in APR territory in the northern ranges, to meet an American who knows something about the Jackal’s whereabouts.

You will need to fight your way to the highest point of the Dogon village where you will find the American informant dead, his body lying on the ground. Close to the corpse you will find a cassette tape.

The cassette tape is added to the tape inventory and starts to play immediately. Playing the tape marks the end of the mission.

A voice says, "Dear Jackal, before I kill you, remind me to ask why these men are so loyal to you. I had assumed it was fear of a slow death and decided to test that theory on your American friend here. He assured me it was not, and while it is impossible to prove a negative, several hours against a blowtorch is compelling testament to the truth."
